Thriplow School is at the heart of the local community. We are a happy and academically successful academy within the Diocese of Ely Multi Academy Trust (DEMAT), situated in the vibrant village of Thriplow and close to the University City of Cambridge.
We have high aspirations for all the children in our care. Our talented and committed staff team ensures that each child is treated as an individual and given every opportunity to thrive academically, socially, emotionally and spiritually. Our exciting curriculum provides rigour, depth and breadth; during their time at Thriplow, children develop skills in our Wildspace, receive excellent school based learning and also enjoy a wide variety of sporting activities and educational visits. They are encouraged to look beyond the school gates and consider how they can make their mark on the wider world.
Please come and visit us if you would like your child to be a member of our thriving school community.
THRIPLOW PRIMARY SCHOOL WELCOMES MP HEIDI ALLEN TO OPEN OUR NEW MOBILE CLASSROOM
South Cambridgeshire MP Heidi Allen braved the cold to open our new mobile classroom.
We had hoped to secure money from developers to build more classrooms at the school, but a recent planning application for new houses in the village was turned down so we have bought a mobile classroom instead.
The MP was shown round the school by headteacher Victoria Penty and former governor and volunteer David Easthope.
She then cut a celebratory cake with school ambassadors Fintan and Isabel.
MrsPenty said: “We were delighted to welcome Heidi Allen to our school. She showed a great interest in the school and its development and assured us she would continue her campaign for more funding – both for Thriplow Primary School and for other schools across Cambridgeshire.”
