Thriplow School Ball

The Thriplow School Ball 2018 - Saturday 6th October

The Thriplow Ball has become part of the calendar at our school. It was first run in 2001 when the PTA needed to raise a large sum of money and thought that it would try an event that would appeal to parents and their friends, including those who had no direct contact with the school.  It has proved to be a very successful biennial event and this year we hope to raise approximately £10-15,000 which will contribute towards the Cornerstone classroom project.

For those of you who have not previously attended, the Ball is held in a marquee in the school’s grounds and is run by a group of parents from the school. We usually sell about 250 tickets and the ticket includes a glass of sparkling wine, a delicious three course meal and dancing to a live band. An auction and raffle are run throughout the evening.

There are several ways that you can be involved!

  1. Come to the ball!

To buy tickets please go to The tickets are £80 per person. You might be interested to know that the price of the ticket covers the costs of the evening but we do not make any profit on ticket sales. All the profit is made on the evening. You can either get a table of 10 or 12 people together or you can buy individual tickets and we will put you on a table with other ‘individuals’

  2. Help on the evening, in the run up or with the clear up

We have a very busy committee working away but we need lots more help to decorate and set up the marquee, work on the evening and to help clear away the day after.

  3. Donate an auction or raffle prize

It could be anything from a bottle of bubbly, tickets to an event or a meal in a restaurant – anything would be greatly appreciated!

If you can offer any form of help, please email and one of the committee will get in touch. Please see overleaf for information on the timings of the evening, the menu and the committee members.

Yours sincerely
